Dissonance is the absence of harmony, the experience of clashing disorder. It pervades our politics, our social interactions, and our culture. We live in a world of constantly accelerating change brought on by the rise of digital technology, globalized economies, and climate change.

In this new work I explore visual metaphors for dissonance and harmony. The work explores geometric patterning in relation to flowing organic forms. This sets up oppositions of straight lines against curves, of ordered grids against flowing lines, and of geometric shapes against organic forms. It is my response to the unsettling times we live in.
